Circa Mid 20th Century,

A decorative pair of vintage carved wooden wall sconces, beautifully detailed with scrolling foliage, floral motifs and openwork carving.

Finished in a softly aged silver-gilt they have a romantic, timeworn elegance perfectly suited to shabby chic, French country and heritage-inspired interiors.

Each sconce features two curved candle arms, giving the pair a graceful and symmetrical presence when placed either side of a mirror, fireplace or console. The tall carved backplates are richly ornamented, with layered leaves, flowers and ribbon-like details that add depth and texture.
