Whether you prefer on-site cleaning for your convenience or the meticulous care of our in-store workshop, we've got you covered with expertise knowledge in handling precious materials like Bohemian Crystal and Murano Glass.

We offer polishing and lacquer services for precious metals, including options like high machine polish or a smaller buff hand polish to bring out their exquisite shine.

We are fully equipped and experienced in rewiring existing antique and period light fittings using high-quality IP-rated components, allowing suitable fixtures to be adapted for use in damp environments, bathrooms, and certain exterior settings.

We use well-designed, water-resistant IP fittings, including versatile G9 lamp holders, which are particularly suited to decorative bathroom and outdoor lighting applications.

​

Please note that while we utilise IP-rated parts and best-practice insulation methods, formal IP certification applies to the complete assembled fitting and requires appropriate independent testing before a fixture can carry an official IP rating label.

We provide professional machine PAT testing for all lighting, issuing a clear sticker certificate indicating the results of each test.

 

Our experienced team also carries out detailed electrical safety analysis and fault finding, undertaking any necessary remedial works on both period and modern lighting to help ensure your fittings achieve a pass.

Our high-quality testing equipment supports UK, EU and USA appliances, as well as other regions following their electrical standards. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.

All work is carried out in our in-house workshop, and walk-ins are welcome.

We provide specialist lighting consultancy in London for heritage, contemporary and bespoke projects.

​

With decades of experience in antique restoration and modern lighting design, we advise on the most suitable fittings, finishes, and installation methods for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

​

We work closely with architects, interior designers and contractors, reviewing plans, photographs, sketches and physical components. We can also assist with mock-ups, prototype development, ceiling inspections, technical assessments and on-site troubleshooting.

​

Consultations are available at our London showroom and workshop, or on site, and typically last between 45 minutes and two hours.

Fiat Lux now offers bespoke Murano lighting, made in collaboration with a traditional foundry in Venice.

​

We have worked closely with our Venetian makers for over 20 years, originally sourcing selected Murano pieces for our showroom and now offering custom-made work for private clients, designers and trade projects.

​

From chandeliers and wall lights to bespoke glass forms and colours, each piece can be tailored to the scale, palette and character of a specific interior while preserving the individuality of traditional Murano craftsmanship.
