France, Circa 1925–1935
An exceptional original Art Deco pendant light from France, dating to the golden age of European design, circa 1925–1935. This elegant suspended fixture perfectly captures the balance of sculptural glass and refined metalwork that defines authentic French Art Deco lighting.
The pendant features striking winged moulded glass shades, crafted in frosted satin glass with flowing stylised relief motifs. The softly curved form reflects the transitional moment between late Art Nouveau influence and the bold symmetry of early Art Deco design.
When illuminated, the glass emits a warm, diffused glow, highlighting the delicate surface detailing and creating an atmospheric presence.
The shade is supported by a geometric nickel-plated frame, clean, architectural, and unmistakably 1920s–1930s in character.
Original Art Deco pendant lights of this quality are increasingly sought after for their craftsmanship, authenticity, and timeless appeal.
The combination of moulded frosted glass and minimalist chrome or nickel mounts is characteristic of French lighting ateliers of the interwar period.
